On the Right Track!

Whether you are traveling across the country by rail or mounting a traversing drapery rod, it is important to be on the right track!

At Window Imagination, Inc., we are here to assist you with all your drapery hardware needs.  This week we are focusing on the different types of traversing systems that are out there.  We work with them all – so no matter what your design requires, we can help to make your drapery’s journey a smooth one!

We are the only Custom Drapery Rod Manufacturer who can adapt our wooden facades to work with just about any Traversing System – from any Motorization Manufacturer to Pinch-Pleated, Ripplefold and Ring Traversing.

Let’s examine the different types of systems there are, and each of their particular functions…

Standard Mechanisim

Our Standard Mechanism is a Heavy Duty “C” Track, which is embedded into the back of any of our rods – from 1 3/8” up to 3” Round or Shaped.  This Hidden Track System can operate with draperies up to 12 feet wide and 9 feet long.

Motorization

If we provide the motorization it is Somfy,  however you may also order any motorization you prefer, such as Lutron, Crestron, Goelst G-Rail and BTX etc.,  and have the tracks shipped to us to embed in the facade of your choice.  No matter which track is used, we will color match it to the facade.

We are happy to work with any brand of track you choose!

Longer Spans and Heavier Drapes

For longer spans and heavier draperies we use KSCS or KSCCS bottom mounted Ball Bearing Systems for either Pinch-Pleated or Ripplefold Draperies.  These sleek ¾” tracks, although embedded below the rod, are custom finished to match, even the carriers are finished to match.

For extremely heavy and long draperies, we recommend using the Heavy Duty 94001 System, which is also embedded into the bottom of the rod, and finished to match the facade.  We recently fabricated a custom facade 28 feet wide for 16 foot long drapes using this system.

The choice is yours!
